Aerial Photos of the Faroe Islands

Aerial photos of the Faroe Islands have been taken at various scales over the past 50 years.  The first complete set of aerial photos of the Faroe Islands was taken in 1958 at a scale of 1:12,000. The next was taken in 1970 at a scale of 1:25,000.

Partial sets of the Islands were taken in 1982, 1983 og 1984 at both 1:30,000 and 1:15,000. The 1982 and 1983 sets were taken in black & white, while the final set of 1:15,000 photos in 1984 was taken in colour.
