At the National Survey and Cadastre, the two dozen staff members of the Reference Networks are responsible for maintaining the groundwork for surveying and mapping Denmark.
Their work includes coordinating and updating the coordinate systems and geodetic datums that are most useful at Denmark’s latitude and longitude. They also generate and distribute programmes that can transform data from one coordinate system or datum to another.
In addition to their work in Denmark, the Reference Networks staff also adminstrate reference data for Greenland.
